This Privacy Policy applies to the "AudioMint Companion" browser extension. We believe in building software that respects your privacy. Our extension is designed to be a local utility bridging your browser to the AudioMint desktop application.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or audio data to any external servers or third parties.
The AudioMint Companion extension operates entirely locally on your machine. Any audio captured by the extension is routed directly to your locally running AudioMint desktop application via a local WebSocket connection (ws://127.0.0.1).
To function properly, the extension requires specific browser permissions. Here is exactly why we request them:
tabCapture: This permission is required to
capture the audio stream from the currently active browser tab. This
audio stream is passed directly to the local AudioMint desktop app for
routing and is never saved, recorded, or transmitted to the internet.
activeTab: This permission allows the
extension to know which specific tab you want to capture audio from when
you interact with the extension icon.
We do not use any third-party analytics, trackers, or advertising frameworks within this extension.
If we update this policy, we will post the changes on this page and update the "Effective Date" at the top.
